Jan Hrdlicka, EA
Jan has a broad background in many disciplines, including psychology, mortgages, sales, training, and tax preparation. Being involved in many different industries, he found his passion in Tax Preparation. Providing the highest quality work and excellent customer service are the cornerstones of Jan’s work ethic. To get his credentials, he studied 3 years for the Enrolled Agent Exam and was awarded Enrolled Agent status by the U.S. Department of the Treasury February 26, 2013. This credential is a federal designation, but not commonly known outside of accounting. CPAs can practice in the state where they pass a state bar exam. Whereas, Enrolled Agents can practice in all US states, though they are not trained in bookkeeping. The IRS says: “An Enrolled Agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by either passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns, or through experience as a former IRS employee. Enrolled Agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards.”
Jennie Hrdlicka
Jennie has always been an entrepreneur and has successfully owned several businesses providing a range of services from sewing professionally, performing sign language interpretation for the deaf, owning a house cleaning service, and running a nutrition company. Her friends like to say, “Teach Jennie anything and she’ll turn it into a business.” When her nutrition company was struggling, Jennie’s parents asked her to join them in their tax practice. During her formal training program, she took to it right away and was at the top of her class. Her favorite part of the business is helping people, which is one of her core values. Jennie also loves technology and has been able to keep Gagliano Associates contemporary in the digital space for the tax preparation industry. As a trained tax professional, Jennie not only serves her own clientele, but she also runs most other aspects of the business.
